CALLING ALL HEROES
There is a brand new photopolymer set by Stampin' Up! called Calling All Heroes (item 138002) - designed by Dave B. Catalog Designer. Super cute (for the girls) and Super awesome (for the boys)!!!
I have always loved super heroes. Growing up with Christopher Reeves as Superman, The Great American Hero, and The Incredible Hulk. Later in teens and twenties with MacGyver, Buffy and Angel, The Flash, and The Tick (Yes, The Tick.) and later to include Chuck, Heroes, Doctor Who and Defiance. Who doesn't like a good man (or woman) who fights the evil-doers in life and tries to make the world a better, safer place? I am there, save me a seat, oh yeah!!!
Even today, there are many super movies out: The Avengers, Captain America, Hulk, Thor.... Can I just say again... Thor.... (le sigh!), and Charlie's Angels, those girls can kick butt! Even this year in 2014 we have had many super hero movies. Captain American: The Winter Soldier, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-men: Days of Future Past and still more in the works.... I know of 2 or 3 that the whole family is waiting for.
Included in the set is an alphabet, burst shapes, a tileable cityscape and halftone pattern, and a variety of elements to recreate your favorite hero—or piece together an original creation. I can't wait to get my hands on this and see what I can create! Get this set and find out what super hero you have living in your heart!
The Word Bubbles Framelits Dies (item132968) can also provide great accents for your comic-themed projects (although they don’t directly coordinate).
And I love that this set is not just geared towards boys/mens cards. Little girls love to save the world too and this set is versatile enough that your little girl (or grown-up super lady) can enjoy it also.
